About our Founder
Jose A. Cruz, CPA, CVA, CFE
Jose A. Cruz founded Cruz Tax & Advisory Group with the vision of helping businesses and individuals navigate the intricate and often overwhelming financial landscape. Inspired by his parents' courageous journey from Cuba over 20 years ago, Jose learned the value of education and opportunity early on.
Guided by his father's wisdom that "a pencil weighs less than a shovel or a jackhammer", he pursued higher education, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Florida International University and his Master's in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, Jose holds an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, along with two prestigious national certifications: the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), utilized in valuing business interests, and the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential, valuable in financial investigations and data analytics.
Jose's commitment to his clients is rooted in these core values. His goal is to empower others with the financial acumen needed to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.
